Blank Empty
Yes this is how I feel right now, blank and empty maybe heartbroken I'm not sure myself but I wanted to share. As most of you know Jackson has been going to speech therapy at Early Intervention for over a year now, he really has not had any major improvements. At age 3 the child is turned over to the County School System, the child is tested on just about any and everything possible you could ever think of. They determine if your child no longer needs help, speech and language only or more in depth "Special Education". After all the test were preformed the County of Tuscaloosa and the State of Alabama Determine Jackson my baby boy as Non Typical or "special needs" so instead of waiting until he is 5 to start School like a "typical" child Jackson will start school next month. Yes you read that right, Baby Boy will be 3 on Feb. 21st and This is when he will start a "special" preschool for children with needs. Jackson is very developmentally delayed and needs more help than I can give him. This makes me sad, my child is now labeled "special" but on the positive he will get the help I have been searching for over the past year and a half. I knew Jackson was behind others, but it really breaks your heart for someone to just come out and say it. The county of Tuscaloosa is now the 4th group of specialist to want to refer Jackson for an Autism test. So I guess we will go ahead and have him tested I know it will only be mild to moderate by no means severe I just know in my heart. Maybe I'm in denial guess we will see in a few months when he is tested. Keep us in your prayers, We need them. I have taken care of Jackson since the day he was born he never has a sitter nor does he stay with Grandparents, this is going to be hard on he and I. But I have God on my side and He will lead us down the path that we need.

Disney World
Adrianna's Christmas gift from her dad and step mom was a Trip to Disney World, this was her first trip her first plane ride and she loved every minute of it. Myself I was scared to death for her, I've never been on a plane I've never been to Disney. (Keith and I plan on taking both kids in a few more years) She has had a new story to tell everyday, I am so happy she got to go but kinda sad I didn't. She took a lot of pictures here is a few her dad sent me during the trip via MMS not the best quality but will do. She was super excited about breakfast with the princess, her Disney trading pin collection, Riding a plane that looked like a Whale and the plane had the best Apple juice and Peanuts she had ever had in her life.
Jackson Update
Jackson has continued to go to speech therapy over the past few months we are not having alot of luck with him he says a few simple things but not on track or anywhere near where he needs to be. Next week he will be tested for special education (kinda hard for me to swallow) also his speech therapist has brought up Autism again, she sent home a check list for me to complete and for us to review next week when we visit again. It concerns her that he will be 3 in a few weeks but still has the need to lick and put things in his mouth everything he can find that is not food (kinda like an infant teething)We still have alot of unanswered question about some of his odd behavior maybe they will be able to pin point something and can get him started on a treatment to help he and I both.
